After time it is inevitable that your scanner will need some of the commonly used parts replaced which are defined as consumable of “lifed” items. Detailed below are some of the common parts that need replacing.Your specific scanners consumables are detailed in your scanners product page making it easy to re order when required.
These cleaning wipes are designed to keep your scanner in good working order and helps give you the best possible image by removing dust from the scanner and its components, We’d recommend having these near the scanner at all times to quickly fix some common image faults.
The paper feed rollers when they slip probably just need a clean from time to time. As the pick rollers grip the paper they obtain paper dust which builds up over time, as it builds the grip level falls and the potential for paper slippage increases. Some papers are worse than others, some coated paper for example can give lower expected roller life. When this slipping starts to occur we would recommend having a set of rollers kept nearby as they are likely to need replacing in the near future.
This is a plastic cover that protects the scanners camera from damage. If your scanner is heavily used or scans paper with staples in you may start to see lines down the page. Again we’d in the first instance recommend giving the scanner a clean to make sure replacement is required.
